Enjoy lively jazz music by StoneHead at Creative Space, Kiosk, every Saturday at 17.30-19.30, from July 4 – September 26, 2009.

Fueled by his passion for jazz music, Nakarin Teerapenun, leader of T-Bone – a Thai ska-reggae band, formed StoneHead in 2003. Apart from Nakarin, band members have revolved over the years depending on the “mood and tone” Nakarin wants to achieve in his performances, and currently comprises Nakarin’s fellow jazz aficionados, some of whom are the creme de la creme of jazz music grads who were hand-picked by Nakarin.

The band has performed overseas on several occasions between 2004-2008, mostly in the UK and Japan. They were also a part of “Ramakien – A Rak Opera”, the project which took them to the stage at Lincoln Center, New York, in 2006, where they performed with the world’s leading avant-garde jazz guitarist and composer, Arto Lindsey.

They’ve also toured around Thailand, which they love, because they like meeting other jazz musicians, especially the upcoming generation of Thai jazz musicians.

Design trends are the connection to the future. Find out how Electrolux develops their products by mixing trends, brand values and Consumer Insights to create stories that define and become products that meet demands.

The fast moving trends no longer belong only to fashion. Today consumers demand quick response to their needs in terms of new products, colors, materials and solutions. Tastes have become fragmented and choices must be personalized through attention to all aspects of design: color, material, size, weight, performance, decoration, light, contrast, to technical solution and easy handling.

In this lecture, Pernilla Johansson, Design Director (Asia Pacific) of Electrolux Major Appliances, will share global consumer insight from Electrolux Global Trend Report 2009 and discuss Electrolux’s design guide and trend for 2010 and beyond.

About Pernilla Johansson

Pernilla Johansson is the Design Director of Electrolux Major Appliances for the highly diverse Asia-Pacific region. A global leader in home appliances and appliances for professional use, Electrolux sells more than 40 million products to customers in 150 countries every year. The company focuses on innovations that are thoughtfully designed, based on extensive consumer insight, to meet the real needs of consumers and professionals. Last year, Electrolux launched the Design and Innovation Center in Singapore to drive innovation in the region. Johansson has achieved great success as a designer throughout her long career. Before joining Electrolux, she was a senior design head at Philips, one of the world’s largest small appliances and electronics companies with very trend setting design. In her role as Design Director at Electrolux, Johansson has major influence over the design of products that affect the daily lifes of millions of consumers, not the least in Asia.

เท รนด์คือสิ่งที่เชื่อมโยงอนาคตกับปัจจุบัน ในการบรรยาย “จากเทรนด์สู่ผลิตภัณฑ์” คุณจะได้พบกับแนวทางการพัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ของ Electrolux ซึ่งทำการผสมผสานเทรนด์ต่างๆ เข้ากับคุณค่าของแบรนด์ ผนวกกับองค์ประกอบที่ Electrolux เรียกว่า Consumer Insights เพื่อสร้างสรรค์เรื่องราวที่ถ่ายทอดความต้องการของผู้บริโภคและกลายเป็น ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่ตอบสนองความต้องการนั้นได้อย่างแท้จริง
